The objective of this FP5 Project was setting up and testing a service to help European Companies to outsource their software development projects to the programmers in Armenia, Russia, and Ukraine.

ADONIS involved 12 participants from 6 countries - Armenia, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine. ADONIS aimed at enhancing the benefits of the Information Society for Europe by assisting European organisations and enterprises in the development of their software programs and products in collaboration with the software engineers in Armenia, Russia, and Ukraine. In the framework of ADONIS, 14 pilot projects with further 20 organisations helped to test the software outsourcing service.
